My Holiday Stress Level
Your Holiday Stress Level Is Low |
You take it easy over the holidays, and you only take on what you can handle. You know the holidays are about celebrating and fun - not standing in line at the mall! |
My Handwriting
What Your Handwriting Says About You |
You are highly energetic. You are a passionate, intense, vigorous person. You are somewhat outgoing, but you're not a natural extrovert. You think first before you act. You tend to be independent, rational, and logical. You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others. You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well. You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart. You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous. |

What Carnival Ride are You?
You Are a Carousel |
You are young at heart and a truly playful person. No one would ever accuse you of taking life too seriously. You are definitely in things for the fun. You find joy easily, and you are often building up anticipation for your next adventure. In relationships, you tend to want to be babied and taken care of. And while you may be a bit high maintenance, you are incredibly loyal. Your life is simple and satisfying. Each day you treat yourself to something you enjoy. You have a lot of emotional attachments, and experiences are extra vivid to you. You tend to be nostalgic and sentimental. The past is important to you. Comfortable around all living things, you have a special connection to animals and children. At your best, you are whimsical, free spirited, and creative. Even if your schemes seem a bit strange, they usually work out wonderfully. At your worst, you are spoiled, demanding, and impossible to satisfy. You've been known to act like a brat if you aren't getting your way! |

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
I had a pretty good day! We ended up finding the kids a free swing set on freecycle and while hubby was picking it up he also bought a couch off of them since they were selling everything so that they could move. It was a 2-year-old couch for a great price!! My mom and sister showed up with a birthday cake for me from The Bethel Bakery (YUMMY)!! So I had cake for lunch! LOLOLOL! When my mom got ready to leave my daughter burst into tears so my mom said she would take her overnight. :) Then we took the rest of the kids (I was babysitting all day) and they played on the slip-n-slide and on the new swing set. After they left I got ready and hubby took me out to dinner. We were going to go to the Olive Garden but they were toooooo packed and we didn't want to wait 2 hours to eat. So we headed over to Max & Ermas. It was so yummy and then they surprised me with an awesome banana cream pie dessert! So after today I think I need to do like 100 workout tapes in one day! :) My hubby got me tickets to go see THE LION KING musical! I'm so excited about that! We will be taking the kids also!!! HAPPY SUMMER
Wednesday, June 20, 2007
Summer is almost (officially) here!
My hubby will be starting a job soon so he won't have any vacation at all for this summer which sucks. And talking about jobs todays TTS BLOG CHALLENGE is to share about your first summer job!
My first summer job was becoming a waitress at DENNY'S! :) LOL! I was never a waitress before but wanted to be so badly (I have no idea why). So, they hired me but since I had no waitress experience they had to hire me to clean tables but only had me do that a few days. It was company policy because any waitress hired there had to have some restaurant experience or they had to start out cleaning! LOL! So I did my few days of busting tables then made my way out to the floor and became one of their best waitresses there within a few days! So good they started asking me to do more and more! GO FIGURE! So I did a little bartending here and there (there was a bar connected to it because it was also connected to a hotel. So, that was my very first summer job! :) I did have a retail job but it wasn't a summer job! I did that during the year while I was in college but didn't stay there long!
Well, not I'm going to go give the kids a bath so they can be clean for their vacation bible school class tonight! They got nice and dirty from going fishing earlier today!
I'll be back tomorrow to wish everyone a HAPPY SUMMER and probably have a goodie for ya!

You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are alway s in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn’t mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.
You a r e fun, you are very cool and popular. You always know what’s in and you are never are out of style you are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days that you learned. Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: try not to be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in your life.
You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it’ s funny and calm for the most part. Stay away from traitors and jealous people, and you will be stress free.
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few birthdays. Don’t let your passion confuse you with reality.
You are smart and definitely a thinker… Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes. Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity!

6. I have a start on my digi-scrapping organization
7. Our yard work is finished (for a while anyway)

I can do a lot with A FEW MILLION DOLLARS plus give you a freebie!
1. Give money to my friends & family & charity
2. Build a dream house on a gorgeous piece of land.
3. Invest and Save some for my kids.
4. Travel, Travel, Travel.
5. Hire a Maid
But winning that much money will never happen since I never play the lottery and I know I won't find any trees that can hold that much money! LOL! So it is nice to dream about!
Well, I have not blogged in a couple days and was gone most of the weekend. My hubby and I spent Saturday at Kennywood Park for his company picnic! It was so much fun and I rode just about every ride there! It was an enjoyable day without the kids! The twins really tired my poor mother out though! We didn't get home till after midnight and as soon as we walked into the door my mom CRASHED into her bed! :) We were too tired to drive home so we just stayed at my moms.
Sunday we drove home and just immediately started doing yard work (BLAH)! I'm glad we got it done though. Today is my hubbys birthday (32 years old) but we are not really going to see him. Maybe just for 30 minutes while he shovels his dinner down his throat and kisses us good-bye to go to work. He didn't get to go to sleep Sunday early enough and was running on a few hours of sleep while working (he works nights as a truck driver). So when he got home the kids and I were at the store and he went to bed. We got him a little cake & some food to grill for dinner so hopefully he will get up at least 30 minutes before he has to rush out the door so that he can have some cake and we can sing the little ditty to him! So to throw a little blog party I am going to hand out another one of my sketchies!
Nothing else really going on today. I have to try to scrap some pages and then do some studying. I also want to get ready and try to have a yard sale this weekend. I feel like I am never going to be organized in this house! Too much clutter and it drives me nuts!! And with that said, I'm going to go right now and pack up one box of stuff for the yard sale!
Taa-taa for now!

Wednesday TTS Challenge & A Contest/Freebie
Well, I've always been a silly, crazy girl so I got lots of "pick-on-me" stories.
I hear lots of stories of me running up onto stages (in places that I wasn't supposed to) and start dancing & singing!!
There are also lots of stories of me bringing animals home (mostly birds) and took care of them till they could go off on their own.
And one story that the family can now laugh at and will never let it live down is when I "ran" away twice!! Well, I really didn't run away at all. The first time I was hiding in the bushes behind our house with a friend (who was a boy, most of my friend were boys when I was young and I was a tomboy, myself). We were so young and I said that we were going to run away. Him and I packed up little bags grabbed a mini radio and headed to my back yard! :) I don't know how long later the my mom and aunt (who we lived with at the time) started to panic and search the neighborhood! Hours of searching they came back and we popped out from the bushes!
The second time all I did was walk to a friends house without telling anyone! So they thought I ran away. This time they had the cops help find me and they found me at my friends! My mom said she felt like she was having a heart attack!!

Bloggin' on a Rainy Tuesday
So the TTS Blog Challenge today is:
What in your lifetime has only happened to you once?
Lots of stuff, but off the top of my head the following:
1. While doing an "Adopt-a-Highway" clean-up (in Florida) I found a baby alligator that was trapped from swallowing a fishing hook & line that was tied to a huge brick. Me and my animal rescuing instinct took me right to it and I cut the one end of the fishing line and wrapped the other part of the line around the babys mouth so that I could carry him to the car and get him to the local wild animal rescue! They cut the line as far in the mouth as they could and told me that the hood would probably dissolve in it's tummy and it would be fine!
2. I got Chicken Pox my Junior year of High School. Didn't know that's what it was at first. It came about that I was in the middle of a dance performance on stage. I had felt sick before going on stage but everyone was trying to tell me it was just stage fright (nah, didn't they know that I never would get stage fright) and so I went ahead out on that stage and danced until almost the very end of the performance I collapsed. They rushed me to the hospital and scared my mom with saying it could be meningitis. After testing and testing found out it was the Chicken Pox. Then after I got all the lovely itchy patches, I scratched them so much and have permanent scars from it. No fun!
3. Lost my virginity (hehe, yeah, you know you were thinking of putting that as an answer on your own blog for this question), went to my Junior and Senior Prom, got my drivers license, participated in Senior Skip Day and went to Daytona Beach...ya know all that stuff from high school.
4. Became a Ferret Owner shortly after moving out on my own with my hubby (who was then my boyfriend). He got me my first two ferrets (I had always wanted a ferret as a pet) and after that, Ferret Math struck me time after time as I started to rescue ferrets! Then from all the rescues and the two my hubby got me we had 10 ferrets as our own pets!
5. Got married. Got married in the Poconos!
6. Became Pregnant with twins and at the same time contracted Hepatitis A from the big outbreak at Chi-Chi's Restaurant. What a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. Something that was supposed to be remembered and enjoyed was ruined from how horribly sick I was from the Hepatitis and then living in the hospital hooked up to machines and being looked at constantly.
7. Going back to school after having the kids, since I never finished my first degree!! I'm doing online schooling!
That's all I can think of for right now although I know there is probably hundreds more!
And for this weeks blog challenge at Sweet Shoppe:
I want to hear about your favorite designer, kit, product, etc.:

June is HERE! :)
Now onto some scrappy stuff. Treasures to Scrap is looking for someone who is HAWT, HAWT, HAWT! Yeah, it is SIZZLING SUMMER over at TTS and we are looking for a Guest Design Team Member for July, August and September! Look HERE for details!
Well, I probably have lots more to say and show ya but I'm too tired! I had a double blogging experience today since I had to get caught up and it is almost 1 am and I'm tired and need to study! But since I tortured you with a long end of the month blog and since this new month is a HAWT month I wanted to share a goodie with you:
It's just a little mini I put together when the weather was CRANKING HOT here and I couldn't go out and play! :) It has 8 papers, an elastic strap, yellow fiber and a sun doodle! If you like it you can GRAB IT HERE!! Thanks, friends, for taking the time to read my bloggidy, blog, blog blog!
My [LATE] End of the MAY Post!
I bought the kids tickets to go see The Wiggles Live!! They are going to LOVE that! They won't be in our area until the end of July but I'm just glad I got tickets!
And this is for the End of the Month Blog Challenge at TTS:
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
Well, it sure as heck wasn't my Digital Scrapbook Magazine! I'm so upset that I did not, and from what everyone else is saying, WILL NOT get the 2nd issue. I am going to call them tomorrow to let them know that I have not gotten my subscription issue and to let them know that my very first issue arrived super late and all torn up. :( I don't think it will do much good considering what everyone else has said about it! Very upsetting!! And what really makes me mad is that the stores in my area are LOADED with this issue but I REFUSE to go and spend that kind of money on a magazine when I already spent the money on the subscription.
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
My hubby is a movie rental freak, in spurts though. So this month he has been on one of those spurts. Here are some that we watched this month:
APOCALYPTO (Great Movie)
PAN'S LABYRINTH (another Great Movie)
300 (I wasn't too fond of this one but my hubby insisted we see it)
SHREK THE THIRD (AWESOME!! We took the kids and it was their first time in a movie theater!!!)
SPIDER-MAN 3 (Awesome!)
THE GOOD SHEPHERD
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (CUTE family movie)
CHILDREN OF MEN (Really Good!!)
BLOOD DIAMOND (loved this one!)
THE DEPARTED (another fantastic movie)
MAN OF THE YEAR (I fell asleep and didn't get to watch it all)
What special days did I celebrate and how?
May is a FABULOUS month because it is the month the twins were born! So we celebrated their birthday (even though they weren't feeling good) on May 12th. They were born on May 6th and we had a little cake here at the house for them but the weekend after is when we had a party for their friends and other family at the park! It turned out to be a GORGEOUS day! My mom ordered them their cakes from Bethel Bakery and OH MY GOSH were they delish! Here's pics I took of them:
They got lots of fun gifts like craft stuff (coloring books, playdoh, paints) and Jamie and I got them Dora & Diego Scooters! Which they LOVE!
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
From April through May myself and the kids came down with some NASTY virus. I forget what the name of it causes cole/flu symptoms along with respiratory problems and best of all something like pink eye. My eyes hurt so bad I just wanted to pull them out. I am SO glad to be over that nasty bug! My daughter ended up with a double ear infection from it but my son's ears ended up being okay since he had the ear tubes put in. These ear tubes have done wonders for us! We used to live in the doctors office from ear infection after ear infection with him. Ever since the surgery he hasn't had one ear infection! I was nervous at first but now am so glad we did it!
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
Besides the fun birthday festivities Jamie and I took the kids to The Pittsburgh Zoo. This time we ended up just getting a family pass because the kids (and myself) LOVE going there! :) It was a great day (wonderful weather) and my mom and sister went along with us! We also took the kids fishing quite a few times at a local park!
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?
I tried a new recipe that I got off of Gina Millers Blog! It is called Low-Fat Asian Crockpot Chicken and it was mighty good for being low fat! ;)
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
I got a bunch of scrappy stuff during NSD. My unusual buy has to be this INFLATE-A-POTTY!
I wanted to get this for my kids! My DD is fully potty trained but everytime we would go out in public I stuck a diaper on her because I just didn't want her using the public restrooms. So this potty was my solution! HEHEHEEE!
What were this month's disappointments?
My husband is taking a new job. That should be a good thing right?! Well, it is very depressing, stressful and just horrible for me! My husband is a truck driver and he currently has a local driving job. For this new job he will be going over-the-road. I'm sick about the whole thing but he thinks this is best for us. We shall see. He starts in July which is when he has to go away for a 2-week training which is even more upsetting but we are in the process of finding out if me and the kids can go with him. Even if we are allowed to go with him I'm not sure if I am up for it since I will be stuck with 2 3-year-olds in a hotel by myself while he is at his training. We are thinking he will have some good downtime though. Who knows. I'm tired of being depressed about it though.
What were my accomplishments this month?
I got Jamie, myself and the kids appointments for all necessary stuff before our medical benefits stop (when he starts this new job - he will be without insurance for 90 days). Jamie and I had our eye appt's and both got glasses! I got cute Prada (black plastic) frames! The kids went to their very first dentist appointment but it only went 1/2 well. Aaron was such a big boy and did great! He got scared a little but was okay and let them do the full cleaning and look and all! Aubrey....Ummm....NOPE! She was scared out of her mind. So scared she was shaking! So they peeked for barely 5 seconds and we just had to skip her. I don't know why she was so scared! I might have to try a different dentist after Jamie has insurance for us again!

Friday (5/18) Blog Quiz
Love it or Hate it?
Scary Movies: Love (most) of them! And I don't know why! I get so scared and have nightmares for a couple days after but, I still love to torture myself and watch them! LOL!
Amusement Parks: Love them all! I love the hard core rides and even the simple kiddie ones! I just love the whole exciting feel of being at an amusement park! :)
Valentines Day: Love it because I love celebrating Love! The love of all of my family and friends! We normally don't do much on this day beside go out for dinner but it is a great day to spread the love and let everyone know how you feel!
Working Out: I hated it until I my hubby surprised me with a Mother's Day gift of HIP HOP ABS!! I actually saw the infomercial on it and kept saying I wanted it badly! So he surprised me with it and we both have been doing it for 5 days now and LOVE IT! I alreadly lost 6 pounds!!! I've tried other work out tapes and just can't stick to most of them. But with HHA I actually look forward to doing it! Very weird for ME to LOOK FORWARD to it! LOL!
Tattoos: Hate them! Now don't get offended if you have one! I just hate them for ME! I just don't see myself having one at all plus I could NOT handle the pain of getting one so for those two reason I have to say I hate them! I prefer to just look at them on other people!! LOL!
Guacamole: LOVE IT!!! My hubby and I both LOVE Guac! :) My in-laws cringe when they see us eat it but MAN, they don't know what they are missing! And even better, avacados are SO SO good for you!
Hillary Clinton: I don't like her! I am so not a political person and don't follow everything to make the decision but I have many family members that are. 1/2 like her and 1/2 don't! I've heard both sides of the conversations and don't want to say I HATE her but I don't think I would want her to be our president!
Napolean Dynamite - the movie: HECK YES I LOVE IT! If you know me then you know that is like my FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME! :) I saw it the second it hit the theater and have been a major Nappy D geek since that moment! A few family member and myself actually threw a huge Nappy D PARTY and it was SO MUCH FUN! Ahhh! I think I will watch it this weekend (again)! LOL! J/K! I watch it but not like a stalker!
Meat Loaf: If we are talking about the food then I love it (when my mommy makes it)! :) If we are talking about Meat Loaf in the music field...nah, I don't like him! LOLOLOL!
Forwarded Emails (videos, stories, etc.): HATE them! I don't get mad at the people that send them but I just hate them because I don't have time as it is to read the regular e-mails I get each day! LOL!
Well, that was fun! :) I'm glad I did this, thanks Sweet Shoppe!! I need to do more with my bloggy blog!

Busy, Busy, Busy, Sick, Busy, Busy!!
Then we had a totally fun game at Treasures To Scrap all month that kept us all super busy!! Everyone totally RAWKED the TTS GALLERY!! I made more LO's this month than I have in probably 6 months combined! OK, well, not really but it seemed like it! I did get TONS done though! After the final challenge of the month I ended up losing my mojo and had to step away for a couple days.
What did I do on those couple days off of making LO's? Well, what would any digi-scrappin' addict do??? SHOP! LOL! I had a little money to spend and plus my dear friend Dawn surprised me with a gift certificate to get some Traci Murphy Actions! I had never tried them before and she was bragging about how awesome they are! So I picked up a pack and I already tried them and now know this is A MUST HAVE! So I thank her so much for thinking of me, cheering me up and suggesting such a wonderful item! I was trying to hold off on shopping for NSD but I couldn't help but pick up these awesome goodies:
Couldn't pass up Katie Pertiet's new items for 25 cents at Designer Digitals:
Flourished Words - Brushes & Stamps
and
Candy Jar Paper Pack
Also bought Ashley Olson Goodies: Colorful Duct Tape and Oodles of Doodles. Also check the end of my post for my BEST FIND for the month!! It's awesome!
Now on to the sick part! My poor baby girl ended up catching a bug at the birthday party we were at last week. She was sick with a high fever and vomiting all weekend. Now that the weekend is over I have a sore throat and am super tired. I feel nauseous. I'm going to take some tylenol and hopefully when I wake up I won't be worse. But most likey, I will be worse, that's how it always works for me!
Back to the busy part again...I worked with lots of wonderful CT goodies this month! I wish I would have kept up with my blog to share everything but I'll have to stick with the most recent. Rina Kroes made an incredible new kit for Autism Awareness called WRONG PLANET. Misty Cato has started a wonderful ABOUT A BOY line and I worked with the first two so far which are BIRTH TO 18 MONTHS and also 18 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS. Amy Bleser started selling at Scrapbook-Bytes and she started the store off with some wonderful cardboard goodies and a A Song in my Heart Kit! Shabby Princess was our April Sponsor at Treasures to Scrap so all of us lucky CT members got to work with her incredible designs! I got to scrap with WILD LOVE, WONDERFUL and also STUDIO CHIC. They were all awesome to work with, but then again, what Shabby Princess product ISN'T??!! :) Finally a couple CT items from Scrapbook-Elements. I really liked one of Ashalee Wall's new kits called PUNKY! This kit will be just perfect for all the "attitude" looks my DD tends to give! :) And I finally got a cute kit to scrap those four-legged friends! It is Petra Losbichler's THE DOG SET!
